About Martin’s Timeless Vault

Welcome! Martin’s Timeless Vault is a Vintage, Antiquities, Collectibles and Artifacts dealership that provides thoroughly researched authentic items to ensure that every person can keep history alive in their own home. Founded by Martin Drennen, our mission is to preserve history by allowing individuals of all backgrounds to acquire and cherish items that tell a lifetime’s worth of stories.

Our Story

Ever since Martin was a young boy, history has been his driving motivation to happiness. From begging his mother to take him to the Missouri History Museum to look at different artifacts, to taking him to the Mastodon State Historic Site to do archaeological digs of his own that were set up through the museum, he has always taken every chance he could to indulge in his love for history.

However, as Martin grew older, his family’s challenges started to overpower his family quickly. His love for history was put on the back burner and for a while, he would be facing challenges that no kid should have to face. Eviction, homelessness, hunger, legal trouble with his father, the death of loved ones…his challenges never seemed to end. Well, that was until the day he moved in with his grandparents on their farm in rural Missouri.

After moving out to the countryside, Martin was quickly re-engaged with his love for history. This all started when he would take walks by himself through the woods to relieve built-up stress. One day when walking on the old logging trails, Martin found an old blue Ball mason jar. He immediately fell in love with it. He took it back to the house, cleaned it up, and began his journey researching everything he could about this item. Later, he would go back to explore that same spot. After finding more and more items there, he began to piece together the history of the property. It turns out that his grandparent’s property was situated on one of the oldest roads in Missouri that went all the way up to St. Louis. He quickly found out that the land he was living on had been lived on for centuries by so many different groups of people from Native American tribes to people who visited and stopped by there when it was a stagecoach stop! He then realized that the spot where he was finding all of these antiques was just one of many spots on the property. It didn’t just stop at these antiques, however. He later went on to find countless Native American artifacts, fossils, minerals, and more!

While continuing his re-awoken love for history, Martin excelled both in academics and extracurriculars. He served his community as much as he could through volunteering and organizing events, he ran and worked with numerous clubs at his school, and he was recognized countless times for his contributions to both his school and community. During his senior year of high school, Martin was accepted to his dream school: The University of California, Berkeley. He started his secondary education in Fall 2023 and is currently studying a dual major in Anthropology and Geology. When he graduates, Martin will continue his studies earning a Master’s in Archaeology and a PhD in Paleontology.

During his Spring 2024 semester at Berkeley, Martin decided he wanted to continue his love for history differently. He wanted to allow others who loved history as much as he did to be allowed to indulge in their love for it while also keeping history alive through preservation. He immediately started working on a start-up that would allow for this and came up with his business Martins Timeless Vault.

These principles guide everything we do, from our future contribution of donating a certain percentage of funds per transaction to a historical preservation organization (after our initial monetary investment has been earned) to providing high-quality items of both low and high-ranking values to allow for options of all financial backgrounds.

  • We spend countless hours thoroughly examining, researching, and analyzing our items. Most of the time, we can come up with a pretty good historical summary and list of facts regarding the items. However, there are always cases where this does not sit true as we can’t know everything. When this occurs, we reach out to other experts in these fields and gain a vast amount of knowledge to help build the profile of each item before making them available to our customers.
